University of Indianapolis Homecoming Picnic

When: Saturday, October 4, 2008; 3:30pm - 5:30pm

Where: University of Indianapolis Campus, 1400 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN

Fall Foliage Festival

When: Thursday, October 9 - Sunday, October 12, 2008

Where: Martinsville, IN

Additional Information: This popular event has it all: Thursday - Saturday features a carnival, craft booths, food tents, merchants, and a flea market. Also on Saturday there are bed races, a car show, and pet parades, with a huge parade winding things up on Sunday! Barktoberfest

When: Saturday, October 11, 2008; 10am - 2pm

Where: Pets and Vets, 414 N. Pendleton Ave, Pendleton, IN

Speck's Customer Appreciation Day

When: Saturday, October 18, 2008; 10am - 2pm

Where: Speck's Pet Supplies, 281 South State Road 135, Greenwood, IN

Dirty Dogs and Suds, Version 2.0

When: Saturday, October 25, 2008; 10am - 4pm

Where: Healthy Hounds, A Dog Emporium, 9809 Fall Creek Rd, Indianapolis, IN

Additional Information: Version 1.0 last spring was so successful, with 112 dogs washed in 6 hours, that we just had to do it again! Tom Kortie and his greyhounds Owen and Hannah, are once again generously opening their business, with proceeds from the dog wash to benefit GPA Indy. You can also stock up on dog food as an Eagle Pack Truck Sale will also take place in the parking lot. Shifts will be 2 hours in length. Christmas Gift and Hobby Show

When: Wed. 11/5 - Sat. 11/8: 10am - 9pm; Sun, 11/9, 10am - 6pm

Where: Indiana State Fairgrounds, E. 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN

Additional Information: Now in it's 59th year, this one of a kind holiday event covers nearly five acres and features more than 350 exhibitors.
